Oaty Biscuits

Take a break and enjoy a cuppa with our moreish Oaty Biccies. They are a sweet treat, crammed with oaty goodness and our SlimFast Simply Vanilla Shake for 100 calories each!

Ingredients

  • 40g rolled oats
  • 50g plain wholemeal flour
  • 35g unsweetened desiccated coconut
  • 1 scoop of SlimFast Simply Vanilla shake mix
  • Pinch of salt
  • 60g butter
  • 60g maple syrup
  • 1/2 tbsp. boiling water
  • 1/2 tsp. bicarbonate of soda

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°c (160°c Fan) and line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients (minus the bicarbonate of soda).

  3. In a small suacepan, melt the butter and marple syrup on a gentle heat. Remove from the heat and stir in the water and bicarbonate of soda. The mixture will fizz little. 

  4. Add the fizzy mixture to the dry ingredients.

  5. Using a dessert spoon, place 11 dollops of the mixture on a baking sheet. Flatten each dollop, making sure to leave a little space between each for spreading.

  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden. Leave to cool slighlty before moving onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
